Wedding Photography at Hengrave Hall | Bryony and Aaron | Gavin Conlan Suffolk Wedding Photography

Elegant, Enchanting and timeless are the words to describe the stunning location of Hengrave Hall and my word it lived up to it perfectly, you really should visit this place it's absolutely amazing.

On Saturday 21st December I had the pleasure of photographing my first wedding at Hengrave Hall, I love the Tudor style of architecture and it really excited me because of it's rich history (Queen Victoria once stayed there in 1578).  I love working at places which are full of history because I can use that to my advantage in the storytelling of my work, it really does give each photograph real impact.

The day was a real joy I had so much fun with everyone, they made me feel so welcome and it was an honour to capture their wedding photography.  For me it was the perfect way to end this year!!!

Thank you again and in the meantime I really hope you enjoy this small selection of photographs.

Saturday 21st September was the day Vanessa and Mark tied the knot, the ceremony took place at St Clare's RC Church in Aylesbury and their wedding reception at the stunning Horwood House

I am literally still buzzing from their wedding, the journey home was slow, the paranoia was rife guarding the memory cards with my life - anyone who knows me knows I can't travel anywhere without taking full advantage of a few power naps, this journey however was totally different I was wide awake thinking about that feeling of relief once I've backed up the images.  When the back ups are complete the photographer can relax.

The wedding day itself was perfect - Vanessa and Marks' family and friends were awesome making the atmosphere throughout the day absolutely amazing, you know its been a great day when your still shooting pictures gone midnight.  I couldn't stop the party was EPIC!!!

So many great laughs were had throughout the day, I feel so blessed to have amazing clients I just hope they relise they're never getting rid of me now ....!!!!

Please find a selection of TEASER images below to keep you going whilst your on your honeymoon.

All the best and I'll speak to you soon,

Gavin

PS.. See if you can spot the pose off????

The Beautiful Wedding of Serene & Kurtis | Parklands Quendon Hall in Essex | Gavin Conlan Photographer | Essex Wedding Photography | www.gavinconlan.com

This past Saturday was Serene & Kurtis' Wedding at Quendon Hall in Essex.

It was such a beautiful day, in true British style the rain decided to make an appearance throughout the day but thankfully we were really lucky as it stayed dry for most of the afternoon and evening so the guests could enjoy the stunning grounds of Quendon Hall.

If you were one of the lucky ones to attend their wedding then you may of seen the images from their Paris Engagement session we photographed back in April - normally I would be showcasing the Engagement before the Wedding but i just couldn't wait to show you a selection of their Wedding images.  The Paris images will be posted within the next 3 weeks as I'm taking a well earned holiday from this Friday.

I've known Serene since approx 2008 when we did our first photo shoot together and we've kept in contact ever since and I got to know Kurtis during our couple of days in Paris enjoying the over priced Parisian alcohol.  I was so excited for their Wedding and I wasn't disappointed, I must of got a wee bit excited as I woke up Sunday morning feeling like I'd just ran a marathon my legs are now only beginning to feel normal again...

I really hope you love these images and they bring back some amazing memories from your day.

All the best - Gavin

The Wedding Celebration Party of Diana & Danny | Stock Brook Manor Golf Club in Essex | Gavin Conlan Photographer | Essex Wedding Photography | www.gavinconlan.com

The final installment of my amazing time with Diana & Danny showcases their brilliant Wedding Celebration Party held at Stock Brook Manor Golf Club in Stock, Essex.

Two weeks had passed since their beautiful Wedding in Florence at the fairytale location of Castello di Vincigliata (links to their Engagement and Wedding photographs) I was still buzzing from the whole Italian experience and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate other than having another party.  Stock Brook Manor is a lovely venue the staff were perfect and couldn't do enough for you to make sure their night was perfect.

I arrived early so we could capture a few portraits of the lovely bride and groom before their guests arrived and once the party was in full flow I just wanted to capture the fun and enjoyment everybody was having - the dance floor was rocking all night.

A special mention goes out to Kathy the lady behind Kathy's Creations (www.sweetiecake.co.uk) the cake design was outstanding and so damn creative (see slideshow below).

Anyway thank you so much for sticking with me and I hope you've enjoyed the whole Florence experience, your comments and links truly mean the world to me and keeps me striving to exceed my own expectations everytime.

All the best - Gavin

PS. don't forget if your trying to view their online slideshow via an apple device (iPhone/iPad) then you'll need to download the free web browser "Puffin" from the App Store without this you won't be able to view any flash based content.

The Amazing Wedding of Diana & Danny | Castello di Vincigliata in Fiesole Italy | Gavin Conlan Photographer | Florence, Italy Wedding Photography | www.gavinconlan.com

Hopefully by now you've had the chance to view their Engagement photographs, if you haven't then you can do so here.

Right where do I begin, after getting back to my hotel room at 3am I was far to excited to go to sleep so I began editing a few TEASER shots from the shoot, an hour or so later I decided enough was enough and I needed to get some well earned sleep.

A couple of hours later and about five snoozes on the alarm clock I finally got out of bed, the sun was blazing through the window and the reality of everything started to sink in - I had photographed an EPIC Engagement Session and I was about to pack my kit and move on to the Fattoria di Maiano Apartments where Diana, Danny and their friends and family were staying.

Before heading to the Fattoria di Maiano I jumped a taxi to Danny and Diana's Wedding Venue the OUTSTANDING Castello di Vincigliata for a recce with Diana, Danny and their fantastic Wedding Planner Francesca.  The taxi ride from Florence to the Castello was a non stop photography opportunity, the small winding roads cutting through the Tuscan hills was beautiful and I would recommend everyone to visit Florence.  As I approached the Castello it's true beauty was beginning to be revealed and honestly it was stunning, walking around the grounds and then into the Castello itself my brain was working over drive with all the photo possibilities, unfortuntely the weather was having other ideas for their wedding day.

After we finished the recce we headed back to the Fattoria, I checked into my apartment (WOW) photographed all the bridal details and then relaxed with the guests for the rest of day, by now it was almost certain the weather wasn't going to be that great so I pre-planned a few locations we could use in my head, to be honest whatever the weather I knew we were going to get amazing imagery so I wasn't concerned at all.

Their Wedding Day had finally arrived and as we feared the weather wasn't great but on the plus side it was very atmospheric, I spent the morning finishing off the detail shots, locations and as many portraits as I could before heading to the Castello to wait for Diana's arrival.

Their Wedding was absolutely amazing, Diana and Danny are a stunning couple and are so much fun to work with, their day flew by and it was an absolute honour to be apart of it.

Francesca was a fantastic help and she made sure everything ran smoothly on the day, she was a real joy to work alongside in giving Diana & Danny the most perfect of days.

As you'll scroll down you'll see a selection of teaser images and their fantastic online slideshow showcasing their complete Wedding Day. As the slideshow is flash based you'll notice it doesn't work on any apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad, to view the show on these devices you'll need to download the puffin web browser for free in the app store.

I hope you all love what you see, feel free to add a comment below and/or share it on facebook and any other social media platforms.

All the best,

Gavin
