Baby Jack | New Born Photography | Gavin Conlan Essex Wedding and Portrait Photographer | www.gavinconlan.com | www.facebook.com/gavinconlanphotography

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous little boy Jack aged 10 days, he was absolutely fantastic and already had the posing technique of a seasoned professional model.

The key for me with this shoot was his little personality I really wanted to focus on this in every shot I took and to make the captures more flexible everything was shot using a mixture of available light and video light.  I don't like shooting using flash on someone so young as I think it could become uncomfortable on the babies eyes.

The shoot was so much fun we captured some great expressions inbetween the occasional power nap (baby Jack not me), you can view a selection of my favourites from the shoot below and I really hope you love them as much as I do.

If you are interested in booking a session with me you can get in touch via my website or on here.

Fashion vs. Glamour | London photo shoot | Gavin Conlan Essex Wedding & Portrait Photographer | www.gavinconlan.com | www.londonspeedlitescene.co.uk

Photography can be a lonely career at times, shooting alone, editing alone, working all hours of the day making sure your business runs smoothly while posting new imagery to your website, blog and social media sites.  At times you just need to stop everything and surround yourself with fellow professionals, it's the perfect way to talk through any issues you may have or worries and to recharge those creative juices.

The London Speedlite Scene is just that for me it's a fantastic group of Photographers/Make Up Artists/Models all networking and working together I feel seriously blessed to have found this group and be apart of it - it's full of fantastic and extremely talented people who work the arses off to achieve fantastic imagery.

Glamour vs. Fashion was my 4th meet up with the LSS crew and it was another awesome shoot - this time we had free run of a Mansion House in Hampstead.  Seriously the efforts of the Make Up Artists can't be stressed enough on these shoots, the works of art they produce are mind blowing and really do make our jobs as photographers a hell of a lot easier.

All the models were provided by Elect Model Management and MUA's by Intense Make-up Artists both agencies were formed out of London Speedlite Scene - you should check out the links below.

Also check out the fantastic video from the meet up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7E9YE6OOk0 this will give you a teaser into the world of a LSS meet up.

I use these shoots as personal challenges, to limit my lens choice and to try and produce images that are different - to work with the environment and showcase it in a different way while still shooting images that fit in with my current style.

As with my previous LSS meet ups I shoot every image with a mixture of natural available light and my daylight balanced video lights.

I hope you enjoy these images, you can view more by visiting my facebook photography page http://www.facebook.com/gavinconlanphotography - if you like the work I produce then please click on that like button to make my day.

Take care and speak soon.
